Abstract

This study attempts to determine: 1) Positive influence of proactive personality on career satisfaction. 2) Positive influence of proactive personality on organizational citizenship performance. 3) Positive influence of career satisfaction on organizational citizenship performance. 4) The mediating role of career satisfaction on the relationship between proactive personality and organizational citizenship performance. 5) The moderating role of political skills in the relationship between proactive personality and organizational citizenship performance. The sample in this research is employees of Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) of 309 employees. Sampling method in this research using Purposive Sampling method. The test used in this study used the test instrument in the form of validity test with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method and reliability test with Cronbach's Alpha method. Hypothesis testing in this study using Stuctural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS program 22. Testing the role of mediation in this study using Sobel Test formula calculation. While testing the role of moderation in this study using regression weight with the help of AMOS 22 program. The results showed that: 1) Proactive personality has a positive and significant impact on career satisfaction. 2) Proactive personality has positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship performance. 3) Career satisfaction has no positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship performance. 4) Career satisfaction does not mediate the effect of proactive personality on organizational citizenship performance. 5) Political skill does not moderate the influence of proactive personality on the performance of an organizational citizenship performance.
